I picked my bridesmaid dresses! (Actually, we picked them back in January when I first looked at bridal gowns, but it just occurred to me that I didn’t share the results here).
Behold:
Alfred Sung D500 in “Mosaic” (or “blue” if you are less fancy).
I wore another Alfred Sung dress to a friend’s wedding in December so I know I love the fabric (dupioni silk looks a little… odd… if you aren’t used to it).
As you may recall, my mother and sister are in charge of flowers. Kerry was talking about doing vivid oranges and reds so they pop. I’m very excited to see what they do!
Now, allow me a second to wax poetic about my family and their involvement in my nuptials…
I have four bridesmaids – three “regular” and one “junior” – and two flower girls.
Minus my maid of honor – Kerry, my sister – all of these ladies are cousins of mine. They represent both sides of the family and two “generations,” actually, as three of them are daughters of my first cousins (and thus are my first cousins once removed – I know my genealogy!). I’m so excited to walk down the aisle to meet Will with this wonderful group of women (and little women).
