The Object:
The Origin: A thrift shop in downtown Champaign, Illinois.
The Backstory:
I’m generally more of a beer-drinker, but when I have wine, these are my favorite glasses. I have a set of four.
They come from a thrift store in downtown Champaign, Illinois (though, sadly, I cannot remember which…). I went to school in Champaign-Urbana (go Illini!) and was back in the area visiting a friend who’d morphed somewhat into a “Townie.” I found this set of carved-fish bourbon glasses and had to have them, even though getting them back home to Chicago on the train would be a challenge (or, at least, seem like one – I’m always nervous when there’s something breakable in my suitcase).
Will prefers these glasses we received as a house-warming gift when we moved into the new condo, so I generally have all four fish glasses to myself.

Those are so cute, I love vintage glassware so much and those would look so good on a bar cart!

LOVE THESE. From a distance you just read a vintage pattern but I love that up close you see the fish. mmm, bourbon.
