Now is the time for reflections and resolutions, no?
- Make Resolutions, if you are so inclined. They aren’t for everyone, but I enjoy setting small goals for myself to see what I can improve on in the upcoming year. Personally, I want to be able to get out of bed in the morning without hitting the snooze button 5 times. My night-owl tendencies muffle my shine in the AM, and it’s time to work on that! I’m also loving the “Readers Resolute” series on Modern Eve. She’s interviewing various readers to see what they want to learn, where they want to go, and fashions they want to try in 2012. Awesome questions, fun answers.
- Write a letter to yourself. Inspired by Jess of Makeunder My Life, I headed over to FutureMe.org to write a letter to the future. There, you can write a letter to be delivered anytime from tomorrow to fifty years from now. I wrote one to be delivered April 28th (four months from when it was written) from the perspective of who I hope to be on that date. Granted, I don’t intend to be super-different in four months, but I do hope that some of the things that stress me now have passed.
- Enjoy! Will, Kerry, and I are dressing up (heels and all!) and heading to dinner at Prix Fixe. We will then come back to the condo to drink champagne and lambics and (hopefully) catch some fireworks outside our big windows. Last year, the fireworks terrified Odie. We will see if he’s grown braver over the course of 2011.
I hope you all have a wonderful last few days of 2011 and enjoy your new year, however it is spent!
