One of the reasons Will and I upgraded to a larger bed was to have more room for the cats.
There are two distinct zones in which the cats like to rest for the night: The Valley and The Perch.
There are distinct advantages to each location. The Valley provides better access to cuddles, The Perch allows you to align your little cat-body with the window and spy on the neighbors all night.
Historically, Nibbler was a Valley Cat and Odie a Perch Cat. Lately, though, Odie has discovered the pleasures of sleeping in The Valley, and this has thrown Nibbler off course. Rather than take The Perch, she opts to brood on the couch all night.
Nibbler is, to her credit, a much better resident of The Valley as she sleeps in a lady-like ball:
Odie likes to play a game where he sees how much space he can occupy:
He’s evil, but it’s cute.
Do your pets sleep in bed with you? I know the thought of sharing sleep space with animals is not everyone’s cup of tea.
