Yep, I’m in a Spring-y mood! I love watching the cities (both Chicago and New York) come alive as we Northerners emerge from hibernation. Seemingly overnight the trees around my office have exploded in bloom. It’s magnificent.
Now that the windows are open, I’m looking to bring a little piece of Spring into my home. Bringing a touch of Spring indoors doesn’t require big changes – the items below are smaller (and would survive beyond the season).
{Clockwise}
* I love these Florence Broadhurst-patterned pillows from Kate Spade.
* I’m in love with trees in the home to bring in a touch of green. This Ikea pot is perfect for a ficus.
* This fancy birdcage would be quite the accent piece.
* I love Marimekko and this tray from Crate & Barrel is fabulous.
* Pretty cacti are as colorful as flowers (and harder to kill).
* John Lewis makes lovely decorative glassware.
I can’t wait for the Farmers Markets to get going (it’s currently predominantly early spring onions). Fresh flowers from the market are absolutely the best – and I feel like a giddy Parisienne heading home with flowers peeking out of my shopping bag.

Wow, I never thought I would feel the need to buy potted cacti – like NOW – but you just made it happen. And I am supremely excited for our farmer’s market here to get moving as well…ahh, to have a tote bag stuffed with greens and goat cheese 🙂 Happy spring, my friend!

Ah it is such a wonderful time! It’s funny how the city suddenly feels more crowded. 😉 I’m really thinking of starting a little cactus collection – my grandparents always had one. xo

That’s awesome! My friend had a picture of a cactus she now owned on her grandparents’ deck back in the day. Those beasts live forever.
