Wisdom Wednesday: Get your Vacuum
Yep, still from the Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders podcast. I’m obsessed. This particular quote jumped out at me – it’s hard, of course, but we should all aim to just keep going when things don’t turn out the way we want.
The field is in north central Iowa, taken when Will and I were there in May for a cousin’s wedding.
Wisdom Wednesday: Olympic Take-Away
It can be hard to avoid the temptation to look around at how your competitors are doing.
Every time you turn your head, it slows you down. This might be more literal in Olympic sports like running or swimming where any sacrifice of aero- or aqua-dynamics could actually cost you gold, but it’s just as applicable to those of us who aren’t so sporty.
I use the term “competitors” as I heard this quote during the Olympics, but honestly, it’s easy to compare yourself to anyone – even, or especially, in some cases – your friends. Paying too much attention to what others are doing can be distracting and discouraging. Now that so much of everyone’s life is online, it’s quick and easy to see what everyone else is up to.
It can be easy to blur the line between being inspired and being overwhelmed.
Wisdom Wednesday: Your Expertise
Once again, I’m drawing inspiration from the Entrepreneurial Thought Leaders podcast.
The picture is from my Instagram feed. That tree shades my parent’s backyard.
